Ohh no – one of the pirates has stolen Captain Goldeyes treasure! Students have to complete four clues and cross off suspects/pirates as they go to find out who did it. It involves multiplication, division, decimal addition, three digit addition, and basic pre-algebra problems. This is a mini CSI so it shouldn’t take students too long to complete, great for when time is pressing but you want to fit a bit of fun Math in!
Mini CSI Math: Which Dog ate the Homework? – Use math to discover which dog is the culprit!
Ohh no – one of the dogs has eaten your homework and the teacher wants to know which dog did it! Students have to complete four clues and cross off suspects/dogs as they go. It involves multiplication, division, decimal addition, simple fraction problems, and word problems. This is a mini CSI so it shouldn’t take students too long to complete.
Mini CSI Math Mystery: Dinosaurs! Who Took The Dinosaur Eggs? Printable + Digital Math. Grades 4-7
You have found an island with real dinosaur eggs on it, however someone has stolen them! Students have to complete four clues and cross off suspects as they go to find out who did it. In this activity you have discovered that one of your unicorns is not who they say they are, they are instead a horse! Students have to complete four clues and cross off suspects as they go. This is a mini CSI so it shouldn’t take students too long to complete, great for when time is pressing but you want to fit a bit of fun Math in!

CSI Math: Zoo Madness – Use math to discover which animal keeps escaping!
In this activity,Pete the zoo keeper is getting stressed out because one of the animals keeps escaping during the night and wrecking havoc on the zoo. In this 10-30min activity, your students will use their math knowledge to help Pete discover what animal is escaping. It works great for earlier finishers – or just to have as a fun (yet educational) activity when you have a spare 20mins to fill.
Four math clues are included, which your students will need to solve in order to uncover which animal is escaping. The clues are:
Hidden Message: Students use their basic facts, mainly multiplication, in order
to uncover a hidden message.
Decimal addition – Students add decimals to figure out animal reach.
Area Calculations: Students calculate the area of each animals enclosure.
Fractions – Students work out which animals ate the least.
